Our Work & Displays
As part of our Academy Trust Saint Francis of Assisi Feast Day celebrations and to mark the Jubilee Year of Saint Francis (January 10, 2026 – January 10, 2027), which has a focus on peace, every class from Nursery Class to Year Six created this whole school Saint Francis of Assisi display board. This year is the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis of Assisi's death.

As part of our whole school Art and Design and Technology day organised by the subject leader, Mrs Turner, the children designed and created their own animal masquerade masks to mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi. They then wore their masks at an animal masquerade ball that was held for each Key Stage, celebrating together through music and dance.

As part of our Other Faiths work, we celebrated with a Judaism Week beginning 16th March 2026. This included having a whole school assembly and individual class workshops led by Ruth Jampel from Judaism For Schools. She provided lively and engaging workshops with her extensive knowledge and enthusiasm to the classrooms and an assembly that brought Judaism and Jewish history to life.

Power for Good theme
Pope Francis proclaimed the official theme of the 2025 Jubilee Year as "Pilgrims of Hope". The Holy Year began on Christmas Eve 2024, with the opening of the Holy Door at St. Peter's Basilica on 31st December 2024 and ran until the Feast of the Epiphany in January 2026.
As part of our Academy Trust Pilgrims of Hope celebrations, each Academy Trust school created their own whole school display board, having been sent one small individual dove. This is final outcome of our whole school display that we chose to create.
