Our RE topic this half term is:

In our Year 4 topic Galilee to Jerusalem, we are learning about some key moments in Jesus’ journey and what they teach us as Catholics today. We are exploring Peter’s Confession, where Peter recognised Jesus as the Messiah, showing the importance of faith and trusting in God’s plan. We are studying Jesus as the Messiah, understanding that He came to bring God’s Kingdom through love, service, and teaching. We also are reflecting on the nature of faith, learning that having faith means believing in God even when we do not fully understand everything. Finally, we are looking at how Jesus heals the sick, seeing that His miracles were signs of God’s love and care for everyone. These stories are teaching us that, as Catholics today, we are called to have faith, help others, and trust in God’s guidance in our lives.

Our Class Motto is:  One step at a time but always forward!

Our class rules are:

  • Be Confident!
  • Embrace our differences.
  • Listen and Learn.
  • Be kind to one another.
  • Respect our classroom.

RE - For your RE homework this term, you will be creating a fact file about a myth that shows solidarity and peace. This links to our Catholic Social Teaching objectives, which remind us to care for others, work together, and promote peace in the world. When you make your fact file, you should include:

  • The name of the myth and where it comes from.

  • A summary of the story.

  • Examples of how it shows solidarity (people helping each other) and promotes peace.

  • A short reflection on what we can learn from it as Catholics today.
