Our RE topic this half term is:

In RE, our topic is Creation and Covenant, where we have been learning about Abraham and his special relationship with God. We explored Abraham’s journey and how he showed great faith and trust by following God, even when he did not know where the journey would lead. We learnt about the covenant God made with Abraham and the promises that his descendants would become a great nation and be as numerous as the stars. We also explored the story of Abraham and Sarah, including the visit of the three strangers and God’s promise that Sarah would have a son, Isaac. Through these Bible stories, we have considered the importance of faith, trust, obedience and keeping promises, and how Abraham’s covenant with God is an important part of the story of God’s people.

RE - For your RE homework this term, you will be creating a fact file about a myth that shows solidarity and peace. This links to our Catholic Social Teaching objectives, which remind us to care for others, work together, and promote peace in the world. When you make your fact file, you should include:

The name of the myth and where it comes from.
A summary of the story.
Examples of how it shows solidarity (people helping each other) and promotes peace.
A short reflection on what we can learn from it as Catholics today.
